Mr. Raze Green Rowland

Raze Green Rowland, age 76, of Washita, AR, died March 23, 2013. He was born March 7, 1937 in Washita to the late Nealey and Jewell Rowland. On September 6, 1963 he married Pauline Shaw. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother E.A. Rowland.

Raze was a wonderful husband, Daddy, and Paw Paw. He was a cattle farmer to the day he died. He was a jack of all trades, could and would help any one that came around. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Mount Ida and a member of Prairie Grove Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years Pauline Shaw Rowland; One daughter Alice and son-in-law Derek Summitt of Washita, Two precious grandchildren Maddie and Gracie Mae Summitt they were his life, two sisters Mary Gaston of Mena and Lucille Short of Washita, two sister-in-laws Wanda Clenney and Devonia Tiner, both of Mount Ida, his in-laws Irvin and Alta Shaw of Mount Ida and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Grave Side service will be held Monday, March 25, 2013 at Rocky Cemetery with Brother Ed DePriest officiating. There will be a Visitation Sunday, March 24, 2013 4-6 p.m. Pallbearers: Terry Kinsey, Dub Clenney, Derek Summitt, Doyle Rowland, Earl Gene White, and Dean Shaw. Services will be held under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida.
